Έχω αϋπνίες, αισθάνομαι μοναξιά. Πρέπει να επισκεφτώ γιατρό;

For a few days, too many things have happened in my home living with my father-in-law. I feel very weak, helpless and alone. Something tightens me inside, I go crazy. I have insomnia, I only think of bad things. I do not know what to do. Do I need to visit a doctor?

Your question is answered by psychologist-psychotherapist Irini Hadjizoutiraki:

Many times the problems we face in our everyday life are painfully overwhelming our internal balance, resulting in a decline in our functionality and mental clarity. Our relationships are being wounded by frequent conflicts and difficulties in communication that push us into frustration, loneliness and despair. We feel we are in a vicious circle, from which it is impossible to get out.

That is why it is helpful to address a specialist who can help us get out of this impasse. It is the man that will open the way to the mental balance and will give us opportunities for self-improvement. We are not addressing a specialist just to diagnose the problem and to treat us with advice or medication. It will help us to realize the power that exists within us and will show us how to use it.
